You should come with us sometime!

As to the nature of my feeling, I'm just going to take some time to sit with it and figure it out. It takes time for some of these truths to really settle into our 'being'. There is a metaphor that is sometimes used to describe the process of gradual enlightenment: it's like when you're out walking on one of those dewy, misty days and you don't even realize it, but by the time you get home you are soaked through and through.

Perhaps it would be fruitful to dig into that feeling of gaining more knowledge and understanding. What exactly is going on there? Why does it feel good? Mind you, I'm not arguing about the existence of that feeling; rather, I'm wondering about its nature.

The PBS link sounds awesome! Thanks for posting it! I hope that you are well, also. This sounds silly, but I feel like once I understand the Heart Sutra, then I'll be able to understand more as I continue my studying. It would be like a bridge to more knowledge!

You might find this interesting: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/culture/video-why-you-cant-handle-the-truth-the-psychology-of-denial/9923/

Hope you're well!
KristenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
